Abstract

This paper presents an attempt regional study about the metallic domains of Pb, Zn and F in Brazil. The work is in accordance whith the quantitative method of ROUTHIER (1980), and was based on published data concernig to 114 mineralizations of Pb, Zn, and F scattered through out the brazilian Country. Besides the metallic domains of Pb, Zn and F, which were roughly esta, blished, the study shows three F metallogenic ages (Early Proterozoic, Late Proterozoic and Mesozoic) and two Pb-Zn metallogenic ages (Early Proterozoic and Late Proterozoic) in Brazil. A modest geological potential for economic Pb-Zn mineralizations is envisaged. On the other hand, the geological potencial for F economic mineralizations is enhanced, chiefIy in the states of São Paulo, Paraná, Sta. Catarina and Rio de Janeiro.
