Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

All texts must be written preferentially in English, or Portuguese and Spanish.

Title (in English, Portuguese, and Spanish), the number of the tables and figures, name in full of authors, and address (institution, mail box, area, ZIP code, city, state, country, ORCID, and e-mail) should be in the first page.

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order: abstracts in Portuguese/English/Spanish followed by 4-6 keywords, the full text, acknowledgements, references, and authors' contribution (see https://credit.niso.org). Pages should be numbered consecutively. 

Tables and figures must be presented with their respective captions (in both Portuguese and English) within the body of the text, in the approximate positions where they will appear in the printed version.

All titles and subtitles should be numbered in the following way:
1st level: 1 
2nd level: 1.1 
3rd level: 1.1.1

Text and tables should be created in Word for Windows, Times New Roman or Arial. All tables should be self-explanatory and numbered consecutively.
Citations and bibliographical references should follow the APA standard (Version 7) - https://apastyle.apa.org/.
In the text, the authors' names should be cited according to the author/date system. Examples:

Silva (1980)
Silva e Almeida (1981), (Silva & Almeida, 1981)
Silva et al. (1982)
(Ab'Sáber, 1969; Almeida, 1964; Tricart et al., 1958)
(Ab'Sáber, 1969, 1980; Vanzolini, 1981)


The list of references should be placed at the end of the paper, and should be in alphabetical order of author's surname. Insert DOI's/hyperlinks at the end of each reference, when available.

Graphic and photographic illustrations should be numbered consecutively, in the order they are in the text, and should be considered as figures.  Considering possible reductions, size of letters and symbols in the figures should be appropriate. The maximum size of the figures is 21 X 15 cm. 

Proofs 

Before printing, proofs of articles will be sent to authors for correction. Authors are not allowed to make changes to articles accepted for publication. Proofs should be returned within 3 days.

Articles will be available on the journal website.
